The ‘Born This Way’ star has given her own take on songwriter Irving Berlin’s festive classic, which was originally made famous by Bing Crosby in 1942.
Gaga’s version of the track, which will be included on her forthcoming yuletide EP ‘A Very Gaga Holiday’, also includes an extra verse. Halfway through the track, she explains:
So as you can tell, I’m very outgoing and a little bit shy, but I’ve decided that this song is just too short. It’s such a beautiful Christmas song but it’s only one verse, so I added an extra one.
The singer will release ‘A Very Gaga Holiday’ on November 26, with the four-track EP set to feature acoustic interpretations of ‘Orange Coloured Sky’, ‘You And I’ and ‘The Edge Of Glory’.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Lady Gaga had made a secret pilgrimage to Amy Winehouse’s house, so she could pay her respects to the late star. According to a source, she “went in disguise” and did not inform anyone about her visit.
She also recently revealed that she was planning on recording a duet with Elton John for her next album. She released her latest studio album, ‘Born This Way’, earlier this year.
