Coldplay, Jessie J and Red Hot Chili Peppers also slated for Belfast bash

Lady Gaga, Queen and Justin Bieber are among the acts set to perform at tonight’s (November 6) MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) in Belfast.

Gaga is set to dominate at the Odyssey Arena show with six nominations, with the likes of Katy Perry and Bruno Mars also vying for the big prizes on the night.

Meanwhile, Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to perform at the nearby Ulster Hall as part of the ceremony, with Snow Patrol also going off-site to play outside the City Hall.

Speaking about the gig, Gary Lightbody, Northern Irish singer with the band, told BBC News:

Very often Northern Ireland in the past has been in the news for other reasons and this is a really, really amazingly positive reason to be in the news.

He added: “The city is literally vibrating with joy. It’s kind of a dream to stop the traffic in Belfast.”

Other performers on the night are set to include Coldplay, Jason Derulo , Jessie J, David Guetta and LMFAO.

The show will be hosted by Bieber‘s teen girlfriend Selina Gomez, with the ceremony getting underway at 9pm (GMT).
