Singer reveals follow-up to 'Born This Way' is well underway
Lady Gaga has revealed she’s already working on her new album.
The New York star’s second album ‘Born This Way’ was only released in May (2011), but she says she’ll have a follow-up recorded sooner rather than later to “keep things exciting”.
Speaking to American Idol host Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, she said of her potential third album: “I’ve been working on that. I’ve been planning the next tour, which keeps me very excited and busy because I have lots of new ideas, and I know exactly how I want it to look.
“I’m also planning my next music video. I have lots of thing to do, but in truth, I feel like I’m the most alive when I’m on stage.”
Gaga has released four singles from ‘Born This Way’, with a fifth expected before the end of the year.
Also in the conversation with Seacrest, she hinted at a duet with a fellow iHeartRadio Music Festival performer on Saturday (September 24). The line-up for the Las Vegas event features Nicki Minaj, Usher and Jennifer Lopez.
He told Q magazine: “It’s all about the meat suit and the controversy. Is it about the music? Really? She’s got the publicity side sorted out, but where’s the f****** music?
“She might think she is making a stand for the freaks and the weirdos but they’re not going to have any decent f****** music to play, are they?”
