Watch Lady Gaga’s show-stopping cover of Frank Sinatra’s ‘New York, New York’

See the US superstar's suited and booted performance from the 'Sinatra 100 Grammy Concert'

Footage has surfaced of Lady Gaga‘s performance from the Frank Sinatra 100 All-Star Grammy concert in Las Vegas earlier this month.

In it the US singer can be seen rising out of the floor in a two-piece suit and a low-set trilby over her pinned-up blonde hair.

A live band plays in the background and dancers in glittering, sequinned dresses dance around her as she strides elegantly around the set, which comprises a set of stairs.

She ends by tipping her hat towards the audience and saying: “Happy birthday Frank”.

Gaga was among the performers celebrating what would have been Sinartra’s 100th birthday at Las Vegas’s Encore Theatre. The pre-recorded show originally aired on US television channel CBS on December 6 and also featured covers of Sinatra’s classic songs by artists including Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood, Alicia Keys, John Legend and Harry Connick Jr.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga is set to release another album of jazz standards with singer Tony Bennett.

The pair released ‘Cheek To Cheek’ in September 2014, a cover album of popular jazz standards including ‘Anything Goes’ and ‘Let’s Face the Music and Dance’. It subsequently topped the US Billboard chart.

Now Tony Bennett has revealed that the pair are working on a follow up, this time featuring covers of Cole Porter songs.

“Yeah, we’re doing an album,” he told Vulture. “It’s going to be all Cole Porter songs. He was the best writer of all of them in the Great American Songbook. Highly intelligent. We’re going to have a lot of fun doing that.”

Lady Gaga is also reportedly working on her fifth album, the follow-up to 2013’s ‘Artpop’.
