Lady Gaga celebrates her birthday at Number One

Plus Laura Marling scores high in the UK album chart

Lady Gaga has scored a second week at Number One in the UK singles chart – but Boyzone have beaten her to reclaim the top spot in the album chart.

The star, who celebrates her 24th birthday today (March 28), remains at the summit with ‘Telephone’, which also features Beyonce.

Elsewhere Boyzone‘s ‘Gave It All Away’ is a re-entry at 10, up from last week’s 29, having previously peaked at Number Nine on its release four weeks ago. Meanwhile their album ‘Brother’ bounced back to Number One in the UK album chart, after just a week away from the top spot, according to the Official Charts Company.

Gaga had to settle for second place, while Laura Marling‘s new album ‘I Speak Because I Can’ has gone straight in at Number Four. Goldfrapp‘s fifth album ‘Head First’ also shot straight in at Six.
