Alternate version of 'Ultraviolence' track streaming online

The Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach has revealed a reworked version of ‘West Coast’ by Lana Del Rey. Scroll down to listen now.

The track is the lead single from Del Rey’s new album ‘Ultraviolence’, which was produced by Auerbach. Del Rey had previously mentioned an album release date of May 1, but so far there has been no official announcement of the release date or tracklisting. The new version is not so much a remix but features an increased focus on vocals from producer Auerbach.

Both Lana Del Rey and The Black Keys will perform at this year’s Glastonbury festival while Del Rey is also set to play a slew of US tour dates in May and June following her recent performance at Coachella, where she first debuted ‘West Coast’ in full.

Meanwhile, a photographer is suing Del Rey’s production company, claiming he was attacked with a knife on the set of one of her music videos.

Karl Larsen is seeking $1million after alleging that he was assaulted by three men, one of whom cut him with a box cutter knife, when he was photographing the singer while she made the ‘Tropico’ video in June 2013.
