First track from singer's second album will receive its world premiere on Monday (April 14)
Lana Del Rey played new song ‘West Coast’ for the first time at a live show in Las Vegas last night (April 11).
The song is the first to be taken from Lana Del Rey’s new album ‘Ultraviolence’ and will receive its world premiere on Fearne Cotton’s Radio 1 show on Monday (April 14). However, the song was performed acapella by Del Rey at a gig in Vegas on Friday night.
Introducing the song at her show at The Chelsea, Del Rey debated with fans as to whether she should sing it and said: “Just up to the chorus? No?”, before giving in and saying: “I’ll just sing you a little bit of the verse without the band.” See below for fan shot footage now.
There has been much speculation about the release of ‘Ultraviolence’, which will be the follow-up to Del Rey’s 2012 album ‘Born To Die’. She had previously mentioned an album release date of May 1 in conversation with fans, but so far there has been no official announcement of the release date or tracklisting.
The singer is set to play a slew of US tour dates in May and June, and has also confirmed that she will perform at this year’s Glastonbury festival.
