The homemade video for the star’s song ‘National Anthem’ – which is listed in the album’s official tracklisting by Amazon – was posted on the internet by a fan last week (December 27).
You can find out what NME‘s Priya Elan made of ‘National Anthem’, and let us know what you think of the track, by heading to NME.com/reviews.
Del Rey became a YouTube sensation last year when the low-budget video for her track ‘Video Games’ became a viral smash and gave her a Top Ten hit single. She is now set to release her debut album ‘Born To Die’ on January 30, preceded by the single of the same name on January 23.
Earlier this week, the president of Polydor Records hit out at claims that Lana Del Rey is in any way manufactured and insisted that the singer “likes to control every aspect of her career” (January 3).
Yesterday, meanwhile, it was announced that Del Rey had signed a deal with the Next Modelling Agency (January 4). The songstress has landed a contract with the company’s talent wing, which has previously pulled in Ellie Goulding, Jessie J and Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner’s ex Alexa Chung.
