Last night, The Killers covered ‘Wonderwall’ by Oasis

"Liam is my king"

Last night saw The Killers use their headline set at Lollapalooza Chile to cover the Oasis classic ‘Wonderwall’. Check out footage below.

Paying tribute to Liam Gallagher, who was forced to cut his set short to a severe chest infection, frontman Brandon Flowers honoured him as “as one of his kings.”

“We heard you missed out on a couple of songs today that you wanted to hear,” Flowers told the crowd. “Any night that ‘Wonderwall’ is being sung by other people is a good thing.”

The band have a history of covering artists who are either from the local area or were forced to pull out of events – having previously honoured the likes of Interpol and New Orde.

Footage recorded by fans showed Liam explaining how his voice sounded “fucking horrific”, before immediately making his departure.

“My voice is absolutely smashed. I’m not just going to stand here all night screaming out for everybody sounding f*****g horrific”, he is heard to say in the clip.

“I’m very sorry I can’t sing the tunes.”
