Late Of The Pier are inviting fans to join them for a football tournament and penalty shoot-out in Nottingham.

The band are asking fans to turn up and play at the bash, being held at Gregory Boulevard recreation ground on Thursday (March 13), with the victor winning free tickets for the band’s gig at the Polish Eagle Club the same evening.

As previously reported, Late Of The Pier‘s special homecoming show, hosted by Liars Club, is taking place in a Polish dancehall usually reserved for Catholic weddings.

Explaining the tournament, Liars Club organiser Ricky Haley told NME.COM: “The band wanted to celebrate all day so we thought a party in the park would be a perfect chance to meet and greet the fans and have a kick about. It’s going to be sweet!”

The show will see support from Bordeaux electro-punks Kap Bambino and Nottingham‘s new wave outfit La La Lepus.

Late Of The Pier will also be spinning records after the gig, under their alter-ego CP. ZARCORP, alongside Liars Club DJs.
