RED FACES ALL ROUND!

The techno DJ gets sets for a busy Autumn...

Celebrated techno artist Laurent Garnier has announced details of a short UK tour and a new single for the autumn.

The release will feature former single ‘The Man With The Red Face’ as a double A-side.

‘The Man With The Red Face’ was originally released in April, but since then it has been a staple amongst jocks, from minimal techno don Dave Clarke through to hard house svengali Tall Paul. “It just hasn’t left people’s record boxes since the release,” explained a spokesman from Garnier‘s record label. “Whenever I hear it out it gets a fantastic response. It’s not a particularly obvious tune, but we keep on hearing from everybody that it’s going off in Ibiza.”

The single features the Jan Driver and Ashley Beedle mixes of ‘The Man With The Red Face’, as well as a Dave Clarke mix of ‘Greed’. There is also a remix by one Fabric Lig, the winner of an internet competition to remix ‘Greed’ set up by Garnier‘s label, F-Comm. The constituent parts of the track were uploaded onto the F-Comm site at [url=]www.fcommunications.com, with the resultant standard apparently so high that the French version of the single includes a double pack containing six different mixes.

Garnier plays at The Forum in London on September 22nd, Red Box, Dublin on the 23rd, and third date in Manchester that has yet to be confirmed. He also plays the Carling Weekend Festival in Reading (August 25) and Leeds (28). The single ‘Greed / The Man With The Red Face’ follows in October.
