War Child to host film screenings and Q&As with LCD Soundsystem, Alan McGee & more

London to welcome Rockumentary Film Festival

War Child have announced a trio of special movie film screenings and Q&As as part of their upcoming Rockumentary series, with LCD Soundsystem, Hot Chip, Inspiral Carpets and many more.

The Rockumentary Film Festival promises “a celebration of some of the finest musical documentaries in recent years accompanied by unique Q&As with directors, producers and musical talent alike – all to raise money.”

The panels and Q&As will be chaired by BBC 6 Music’s Matt Everitt and director Danny O’Connor.

25 October: Last Shop Standing @ Everyman Screen On The Green – Featuring a panel discussion chaired by Matt Everitt, featuring Nigel House (Co-owner Rough Trade Stores), Clint Boon (Inspiral Carpets & Radio X), Debbie Smith (Echobelly & Intoxica Records)
26 October: Shut Up And Play The Hits @Everyman Muswell Hill – Featuring Al Doyle (LCD Soundsystem/Hot Chip) in discussion with Matt Everitt (BBC 6 Music)
1 November: Upside Down: The Creation Records Story @Everyman Screen On The Green – Featuring Alan McGee (founder Creation Records) in conversation with Danny O’Connor.

Meanwhile, fans are eagerly awaiting news of a new LCD Soundsystem album, after James Murphy and co recently cancelled tour dates to finish the record having signed a major label record deal for their first album since 2010’s ‘This Is Happening’.
