Djs Semtex, Target and A Dot will also take part in quiz for BBC Radio 1Xtra's Hip-Hop Month

Lethal Bizzle is among a group of MCs and DJs who will take part in a special one-off edition of Mastermind as part of BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Hip-Hop Month.

1Xtra DJs Semtex, Target and A Dot will also sit in the famous black chair and face host John Humphrys as he grills them on a hip-hop themed specialist subject as well as musical based general knowledge questions in the special episode of BBC One’s popular quiz show.

The episode will be available to stream on September 22 on BBC iPlayer and comes as part of 1Xtra’s Hip-Hop Month, which will also involve MistaJam looking at a raft of classic hip-hop albums from 1994 on his daytime show, plus 48 hours of nothing but hip-hop between September 6 and 7.

Other musicians and DJs who have taken part in Celebrity Mastermind over the past 10 years include Huw Stephens, Newton Faulkner, Neil Hannon, Goldie, Mick Hucknall and Frank Turner, whose specialist subject was Iron Maiden.

Earlier this year Lethal Bizzle featured on BBC Radio 1Xtra’s controversial Power List, a list profiling the most powerful figures in Britain’s black and urban music scene which was criticised after Ed Sheeran topped it.
