Singer says she's 'excited' about appearing on the follow-up to '2001'

Lil’ Kim has revealed that she will feature on Dr Dre‘s long-awaited ‘Detox’ LP.

The singer confirmed the news that she has worked with the veteran rapper/producer on the follow-up to the critically acclaimed LP ‘2001’ (released in 1999), which is due out later this year.

“I’m on Dr Dre‘s ‘Detox’ album. I’m really excited about that one,” she told Hip Hop DX.

The move comes after she recently confirmed that she would like to work with Rihanna after remixing the track ‘Hard’.

Earlier this year, Dre released new track Under Pressure’ featuring Jay-Z.

‘Detox’ was orginally due in 2004, while last year the rapper previewed a new track called ‘Shit Popped Off’ in a Dr Pepper advert.
