Rapper must spend up to 23 hours a day in confined cell
Lil Wayne has been put in solitary confinement in Rikers Island jail after being found with headphones and an MP3 player charger.
The rapper, serving a year-long sentence for gun crime in the New York complex, will have to spend up to 23 hours a day in an isolated cell for breaching prison rules, reports TMZ.com. Another prisoner was found to be hiding an MP3 player for him.
He is now only allowed to leave his cell for visits, religious services and limited recreational time. He will only be allowed one phone call a week and will remain in confinement until his scheduled release in November.
