Lily Allen recently confirmed her return to music with the launch of her new official website. On August 30 the singer changed her Twitter handle from @lilyrosecooper, her married name, to @lilyallen. She then tweeted: “Hello, im Lily Allen…”, before adding: “and, I’m coming back, bitches.” This confirms that she will continue to use her maiden name for her music career, despite claiming in August last year that she would be changing her professional name to Lily Rose Cooper.
Last month Allen also revealed on Twitter that she could be ready to release her comeback single in March or April of next year. She has recently been in the studio working with producer Greg Kurstin, who contributed to her last album, 2009’s ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’, as well as Naughty Boy. In May, she revealed that her new album is “shaping up pretty well” and said it will feature songs “about babies and nappies”. The singer gave birth to her second child, Marnie, on January 8 this year.
