Singer reveals writing sessions ended with wardrobe malfunction
The singer told The Observer Music Monthly that the pair had failed to write any songs together and, as she got up to leave, two buttons popped on her shirt, leaving her accidentally revealing her “bra-less chest” to the Blur singer.
“I’m so cool,” the singer joked of the incident, adding that Albarn wasn’t the only musical hero she wanted to work with, after her song ‘Who’d Have Known’, from forthcoming new album ‘It’s Not Me It’s You’, accidentally ripped off Take That‘s ‘Shine’.
The band liked Allen‘s song and allowed her to continue with it, but turned down the chance to sing on the track, much to the singer’s disappointment.
“I was looking forward to doing a video with them,” she moaned, “me and Mark Owen holding hands!”
Allen, meanwhile, has announced a new London show at Shepherds Bush Empire on March 27, after her previous date the night before sold out.
