Lily Allen braves conditions to launch T In The Park

Crowds party in the rain as the festival kicks off

Lily Allen opened T In The Park this afternoon in appalling weather conditions.

From opener ‘LDN’, Allen got the soaking crowd dancing and singing along to songs including ‘Smile’ and ‘Littlest Things’.

Pouring herself a large glass of Jagermeister before ‘Everything’s Just Wondeful’, Allen told the crowd: “The only way to deal with this weather is to get fucking pissed!”

She then asked a roadie to pass the spirit around to the front rows.

The singer also commented on the soaking wet stage, saying: “I feel like I’m about to get electrocuted! But it would be a good way to go, at T In The Park in Scotland!”

Allen left the stage while her band played an extended introduction to ‘Smile’, returning to finish the song before rounding off her set as usual later with ‘Alfie’.

Allen played:

‘Nan, You’re A Window Shopper’
