They remain top of the single chart and see their album keep Jennifer Lopez off the top spot...
LIMP BIZKIT today (January 28) held onto the top spot in the UK singles chart for the second week running with ‘ROLLIN”.
As well as stiff competition from Usher, with ‘Pop Ya Collar’ entering at Number Two, the band – who this weekend pulled out of their slot on the Big Day Out Tour of Australia and New Zealand because of fears over crowd safety – also saw off Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg, who entered at Number Three with ‘The Next Episode’.
It was a double first for Limp Bizkit, as, after several months on sale, the success of their single has pushed their third album, ‘Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water’, to the peak of the album chart. Jennifer Lopez could only get to Number Two with her heavily promoted ‘J Lo’.
Other new entries on the singles chart included Safri Duo, in at Number Six with ‘Played A Live’, while Martine McCutcheon made a disappointing Number Seven with a cover of the Donna Summer classic ‘On The Radio’.
Dario G also just nudged into the Top Ten at Nine with The Cranberries-sampling ‘Dream To Me’.
Meanwhile, Anastacia saw success in the single and album charts, as her single ‘Not That Kind’ charted at Number 11, while the album of the same name was the week’s highest climber leaping from Number 24 to Number Six.
Further down the singles chart, Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch and Snoop’s cousin Nate Dogg had to be content seeing ‘Oh No’ enter at Number 24.
