Singer might face the 'Fred Durst Birthday Party' at this year's event
Limp Bizkit‘s Fred Durst could face a sea of lookalikes when he plays Reading And Leeds Festivals this weekend (August 27-29).
The frontman has become the subject of an internet craze, “Fred Durst 21st Birthday Parties”, and there is speculation some punters may embrace it at the festival.
“[Have I heard about] people dressing up as me and posting photos on the internet of themselves at their birthday parties? Yeah, Twitter told me about that,” he told NME. To read the full interview with Durst, pick up this week’s issue of NME (out nationwide now and also available digitally worldwide).
“If I can make someone’s birthday a bit special, then who am I to judge? I think it’s funny. I don’t take myself as seriously as people think I do.”
Limp Bizkit play the Main Stage at Leeds today (August 28) and Reading tomorrow.
NME is coming live from both sites at Reading And Leeds Festivals this weekend. Head to NME.COM/festivals for full coverage including news, reviews, videos and picture galleries.
