THE BEATLES – Sir Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr – are expected to sing ‘Let It Be’ together at today’s memorial service for Lady Linda McCartney (pictured), who died of breast cancer in April.

The memorial will be held at St Martin-in-the-Fields church near Trafalgar Square in central London, and will host 700 invited friends. Many thousands of fans and animal rights activists are expected to pay their respects outside.

The three surviving Beatles are also expected to lead the congregation in singing other hymns and songs.

It will be the first time McCartney, Harrison and Starr have performed together in public since all four Beatles appeared at the famous rooftop concert on top of their Mayfair Apple building in 1970, just before they split.
