LINKIN PARK SINGER HOSPITALISED

The band cancel European dates because of Chester Bennington's condition...

LINKIN PARK vocalist CHESTER BENNINGTON has been admitted to hospital in LOS ANGELES after suffering an “attack of severe back and abdominal pains”.

A post on the band’s official website, [url=]linkinpark.com, “Bennington remains hospitalised as doctors are still trying to determine the cause of these ailments”, which surfaced on Friday (May 30). Twelve European dates have been cancelled, starting with a June 7 performance in Germany.

A spokesperson for the band said, “All touring and video shoot plans in Europe have been put on hold this month as we make sure Chester fully recovers… We wish him the best, and will keep everyone posted as to his condition.”

The band were also due to appear on the Summer Sanitarium tour in the US, kicking off on July 4 alongside Metallica, Limp Bizkit and the Deftones, although it is unclear whether or not the hospitalisation will affect these dates. It is also unknown whether Linkin Park will make up the cancelled shows.

The band are also due to make headline performances at the Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds from August 22-24.
