Listen to Sean Paul’s new song with Dua Lipa ‘No Lie’

Dancehall star is enjoying a stellar 2016 following hits with Clean Bandit, Little Mix and Sia.

Rapper Sean Paul has shared a new song called ‘No Lie’, a collaboration with rising star Dua Lipa.

The Jamaican dancehall star is having a resurgent 2016. He features on Sia’s huge hit ‘Cheap Thrills’ and also appears on the UK’s current Number One single, ‘Rockabye’ by Clean Bandit featuring Anne-Marie. He scored another hit this year with Little Mix hook-up ‘Hair’.

‘No Lie’ is expected to appear on Paul’s seventh studio album, his follow-up to 2014’s ‘Full Frequency’. Listen below.

Meanwhile, Lipa is preparing to release her debut album due in early 2017. ‘No Lie’ is her first high-profile collaboration following the solo hits ‘Hotter Than Hell’, ‘Blow Your Mind (Mwah)’ and ‘Be The One’.

Back in September, Sean Paul criticised Drake and Justin Bieber for appropriating dancehall music without, he argues, fully understanding the genre.

“It’s a sore point when people like Drake or Bieber or other artists come and do dancehall-orientated music, but don’t credit where dancehall came from and don’t necessarily understand it,” he told The Guardian.

“A lot of people get upset and sour,” he added. “I know artists back in Jamaica who don’t like Major Lazer, as they think they do the same thing Drake and Kanye did – they take and take and don’t credit.”
