Matt Lucas and David Walliams take their host of characters round the UK...

The men behind cult UK comedy ‘LITTLE BRITAIN’ are to take their characters on a UK tour in 2005.

The BAFTA award-winning comedy phenomenon hits the road next October, kicking off on the 24th in Portsmouth.

Matt Lucas and David Walliams will be ‘joined’ by the show’s most popular characters, such as Vicky Pollard, Lou and Andy, Daffyd (the only gay in the village), Emily Howard and Marjorie Dawes.

Lucas says of the jaunt: “We started out doing live shows together but we haven’t toured the UK since 1997, so we’re really looking forward to getting back onstage. We like to be quite naughty and spontaneous, getting the audience involved. In fact, we used to confiscate people’s shoes so beware!”

Walliams added: “We are already putting the show together now. We hope it’s going to be one of the biggest and best comedy tours ever.”
