Local Natives unveil new song ‘Heavy Feet’ – listen

The track comes from their forthcoming second album 'Hummingbird'

Local Natives have unveiled a brand new song, ‘Heavy Feet’.

Scroll down to listen to the song from the Los Angeles based band’s forthcoming new album, ‘Hummingbird’, which is out January 28.

‘Heavy Feet’ is set for release on February 18, following a six date tour of the UK.

Local Natives worked with The National‘s Aaron Dessner on ‘Hummingbird’.

Speaking to NME, Local Natives’ guitarist and singer Taylor Rice recently said of The National: “They’re tour buddies. We were talking about what we wanted to do with our second record, telling Aaron we were writing and talking to producers, and he joked that we should just do it with him.”

Ryan Hahn, guitarist in Local Natives, explained that when they returned to LA after being on the road, they decided to take Aaron up on his semi-serious offer: “When he finally emailed he was on holiday in Hawaii but responded straight away to say yes, and that he was excited to work with us. We were so pleased.”

‘Hummingbird’ follows Local Natives’ debut ‘Gorilla Manor’. They will tour the UK next month, starting at Leeds Brudenell Social Club on February 8, stopping off in Edinburgh, Dublin, Liverpool and Portsmouth, winding up at London’s Scala on Valentine’s Day.
