Band will no longer perform at Sziget or Lowlands festivals
London Grammar have pulled out of forthcoming festival dates at Sziget in Hungary and Lowlands in Holland
Problems with lead singer Hannah Reid’s voice have been blamed for the cancellations. Earlier this summer the band cancelled their slot at T In The Park for the same reason.
A statement given to Sziget Festival reads: “Due to a lengthy touring schedule over the last year and a half, Hannah has suffered with vocal fatigue which has forced us to cancel, at last minute, a number of recent shows.
“In order to maintain Hannah’s voice and all of our well being, we have made the decision to withdraw from some of our upcoming festival performances.
“We are truly sorry for any inconvenience this causes and regret any disappointment of both our fans and festival organisers. Nevertheless we feel that our decision to reduce our workload is of great importance at this time. We hope you can understand and forgive us for the cancellation.”
At the time of writing London Grammar are still due to perform at a number of festivals across Europe, including Wilderness, Popaganda, Electric Picnic, Bestival, Festival Number 6 and Unknown Festival.
Earlier this week London Grammar were forced to deny rumours that they are members of The Illuminati.
