Check out the debut EP from Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong’s new band, The Longshot

Here are his three new songs

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has shared three new songs from his new band The Longshot. Check them out below.

While Green Day are currently taking some down time off the back of 2016’s acclaimed ‘Revolution Radio‘ and last year’s greatest hits compilation ‘God’s Favourite Band‘, Armstrong has recently been sharing visuals on Instagram promoting The Longshot.

Now, after telling fans that a full album is coming ‘sooner or later’, Armstrong has shared three tracks: ‘Taxi Driver’, ‘Chasing A Ghost’ and ‘Love Is For Losers’.

Featuring a punk aesthetic of scribbled-out faces and rats, Armstrong also recently shared a link to a new profile page which states that new album ‘Love Is For Losers’ is “coming eventually sooner or later. Probably sooner”. Not only that, but he’s also shared two short clips of new music.

Armstrong has also been a member Pinhead Gunpowder, alongside Green Day side-projects The Network and the Foxboro Hottubs.

Meanwhile, the band are also working on a movie adaptation of their now seminal comeback album ‘American Idiot‘. Last year, Armstrong told NME that progress is well underway with the project, that HBO were behind it and that he’d be reprising his own Broadway role as the character St. Jimmy.

“That’s the plan right now, yeah,” said Armstrong. “We’ve got a green light from HBO, and the script is currently going through a couple of rewrites here and there, so I’m not sure when exactly we’re going to start shooting, but it’s definitely all systems go at the moment.”
