The pair performed at the The Ally Coalition Talent Show
The Ally Coalition Talent Show is a benefit show put on by Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff in support of homeless LGBTQ youth. Last night marked their third annual show at Webster Hall in NYC.
Actors, comedians, and musicians performed for the cause, including Bleachers, Lorde, Carly Rae Jepsen, Charli XCX, Lauren Mayberry, Hasan Minhaj, Mike Birbiglia, Jordan Carlos, and Antonoff’s fun. bandmate Andrew Dost.
Lorde wasn’t on the official line-up but surprised attendees with a rendition of Robyn‘s ‘Hang With Me’ alongside Jack Antonoff. Lauren Mayberry performed ‘Firework’ by Katy Perry. You can see the footage above.
Carly Rae Jepsen also performed with an acoustic version of ‘E-MO-TION”s ‘Run Away With Me’ whilst Charli XCX performed an acoustic version of ‘Need Ur Luv’. Artists then gathered on stage to cover Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Go Your Own Way’.
Posting to Twitter, with a photo of a pair of standard issue Apple ear buds, she explained that she likes to “listen to the record on these every day”.
She added; “wanna hear it exactly how you will”. She is yet to reveal the album’s release date or title.
