'Superstar' rapper gets political at Glastonbury
The Chicago hip-hop star, who hit the UK Top Five earlier this year with ‘Superstar’, had some harsh words for the crowd.
He said: “Fuck Robert Mugabe, fuck George Bush, fuck all tyrannical world leaders. Fuck politics, democrats, socialists, the Labour party. Music’s what it’s all about.”
Drawing a large and enthusiastic crowd to the Jazz World Stage, Lupe played a set featuring tracks from both of his albums – ‘The Cool’ and ‘Food & Liquor’ – including ‘Hip-Hop Saved My Life’ and ‘Daydream’.
“I want everyone to go and see my homie Jay-Z tomorrow,” he said.
