Lykke Li tours the UK in November and will play dates in London, Manchester and Dublin with gigs at the London Eventim Apollo on November 13, Manchester’s Albert Hall on November 15 and Vicar Street in Dublin on November 16.
The singer recently discussed the negative feelings she has for her own early material. Speaking with The Daily Telegraph, she admitted: “I cannot stand my first album. It is so bad. I sucked.”
Li’s debut ‘Youth Novels’ was released in 2008 when the singer was 22, and featured the singles ‘I’m Good, I’m Gone’ and ‘Little Bit’. The album was the first in what the Swedish singer recently claimed is a trilogy of albums, with this year’s ‘I Never Learn’ being the last in the set.
Her new album has taken on a less electronic, more melancholic, ballad-led approach. Speaking of ‘I Never Learn’, the singer said: “In a commercial sense this album is the worst move I could make: nine songs that just rip your heart apart.”
Lykke Li will play:
London, Eventim Apollo Hammersmith (November 13)
Manchester, Albert Hall (15)
Dublin, Vicar Street (16)
