Madness launch appeal for saxophone lost after ‘X Factor’ performance

Madness have launched an appeal for a saxophone that vanished mysteriously from The X Factor studios on Sunday night (October 30)

Lee Thompson’s Selmer Silver Mark VI disappeared from the studios after the band’s appearance on The Xtra Factor on Sunday.

A statement issued from the band read: “Lee is distraught at the loss, he has had the instrument for many years and is appealing for any information which may lead to it being returned to him.”

It continued: “Should anyone have any information on the saxophone’s whereabouts please contact info@madness.co.uk. Information that leads to the safe return of the instrument will result in a Madness-related reward.”

Madness released their tenth studio album, ‘Oui, Oui, Si, Si, Ja, Ja, Da, Da’ this week (October 29). The band are also set to tour the UK this autumn, playing a string of dates on their Charge Of The Mad Brigade tour, which is their biggest to date.
