The US pop star has been posting festive social media messages
Madonna has reached out to her runaway son Rocco via social media.
The US pop star took to Instagram on Boxing Day to say “Merry Xmas to the sunshine of my life”, accompanied by an old photo of her and Rocco taking a selfie together.
She then followed this with a series of photos of her other children, Lourdes, David Banda and Mercy James, enjoying themselves during family festivities.
Rocco, 15, is currently staying with his father, filmmaker Guy Ritchie, in London after running away from Madonna’s current ‘Rebel Heart’ tour.
An insider told Radaronline.com that the mother and son had been having “bad shouting matches” and that Madonna was “crying and yelling at him”.

Family issues aren’t the only thing Madonna has had to handle on her ‘Rebel Heart’ tour.
Earlier this month (December 14) the star was booed for arriving an hour late to her Manchester Arena gig, apparently due to technical difficulties.
The difficulties continued at her Glasgow SSE Hydro concert (December 20) where there was a power cut.
Madonna posted a photo on Instagram and wrote: “We don’t stop till its over Glasgow! Don’t try to silence the Queen”.
Officials at the Hydro said it was Madonna’s own production team who disconnected the power.
A spokeswoman for the venue told The Scotsman: “Madonna finished her agreed set and then chose to come on for another song. By that stage, all the power and control equipment had already been disconnected by her own production engineers. I would stress that this was not a venue decision.”
