Madonna was in the US paying tribute to her 99-year-old grandmother at the time
Grzegorz Matlok has denied breaking into Madonna‘s house in London and stealing a can of Red Bull.
The fan pleaded not guilty to three counts of burglary, after allegedly breaking into Madonna‘s ten-bedroom pad in swanky Marylebone on March 12.
The prosecution told the jury and court how Matlok allegedly climbed up to the property’s balcony using a rope, and then entered the two adjoining properties, which are also owned by the Material Girl. Madonna was in Bay City, Michigan when the alleged incident took place. The singer was paying her respects to her late grandmother, Elsie Mae Fortin, who had raised the singer when her mother died.
Matlok was arrested on March 12. At the time of the arrest he was seen as unfit for trial and was sent for mental evaluation.
