Manager confirms she is about to head into the studio
Madonna will head into the studio to start work on her new album next month, according to her manager.
Guy Oseary confirmed via Twitter.com/GuyOseary that the pop icon is getting ready to start recording the follow-up to her last full-length collection, 2008’s ‘Hard Candy’, which saw her work with Timbaland and Pharrell Williams.
Madonna‘s last original material came with the title track to her 2009 Greatest Hits retrospective, ‘Celebration’.
Oseary tweeted: “Madonna goes into the studio next month to start work on her next album. Answering queries from fans, he went on to say: “She has a good idea which producers she will be working with.”
Quizzed further about the singer’s future plans, he said: “There is nothing to report in regards to tour. You guys know how this works… first comes the album and next comes the [tour].” He continued: “Lots of questions about DVDs. At some point I will work with Warners music to organise and collaborate on these projects. No plan yet.”
‘Hard Candy’ was Madonna‘s final studio album under her contract with Warners. She since signed a new deal to release records in partnership with concert promoters Livenation.
