Former Madonna producer admits drug charges

Dallas Austin faces up to four years in jail

Dallas Austin, the producer who has worked with Michael Jackson and Madonna, has pleaded guilty to cocaine possession in Dubai.

Austin appeared in court today (July 2) and told the judge that he had made a mistake and did not mean to break the law, reports the Associated Press.

The R&B producer was believed to be in the city to attend a series of concerts when he was arrested at Dubai airport last month.

He could face up to four years in jail when he is sentenced on Tuesday (July 4).

Austin won a Grammy in 1999 for his production work on TLC‘s ‘Fanmail’ album.
