Technicians discover extra space to cram more Madge disciples in...
MADONNA has added extra seating to her six LONDON shows, which start on July 4.
A limited number of seats are being erected at Earl’s Court after technicians discovered there will be enough space to get more in.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow (June 22) at 9am, on 0870 169 6880 and 0870 730 7306.
When the shows were originally announced, the ticket-buying frenzy froze ticketlines and websites, and fans queued outside the venue for days in the hope of buying them. They have already changed hands for £1000.
Madonna, meanwhile, is reported to be increasing her London property portfolio by buying a bar. According to The Daily Mirror, she is sniffing around central London for a suitable location and has already appointed an interior designer and manager.
Caroline Nodder of The Publican magazine told NME.COM that Madonna?s move “is testament to how great the pub trade is doing. The pub is a traditional symbol of Britishness; Madonna?s been here for two years and buying a pub shows how keen she is on Britain.”
In other Madonna news, Kylie Minogue, Melanie C, Britney Spears and designers Jean-Paul Gaultier and Stella McCartney all appear in an hour-long documentary about the star to be shown on BBC1 on July 4, the day she kicks off the UK leg of her “Drowned World” tour at London Earl’s Court.
The programme, ‘There’s Only One Madonna’, charts the influence she has had on style and music, and her relationship with the UK in her 18-year career. Also featuring interviews with Kelis, Kim Wilde, William Orbit, Mirwais the programme goes out at 10.35pm.
