reports that Stade De France staff have issued official news saying that Madonna’s record label, Warner, is expected to put the final seal of approval on the dates by the end of January.
Stadium dates in the UK are also being lined up, and promoters are expected to be close to finalising venues and dates.
In other Madonna news, [url=]www.peoplenews.com
report that she will cover Serge Gainsbourg’s ‘Je T’Aime’ on a forthcoming tribute album to the French pop legend. Madonna was personally invited by Gainsbourg’s daughter Charlotte to cover the duet which he recorded with Jane Birkin and which topped the chart in 1969. A source is quoted as saying: “She knows [Madonna] pretty well because she appeared on her new album … saying a few words on the introduction of ‘What It Feels Like For A Girl’.” It is not yet clear whether she will sing the lyrics in English or French.
And finally in Madonna news, reports in the UK today suggest her film director husband Guy Ritchie is to produce the video for her next single, ‘What It Feels Like For A Girl’, slated for a March 19 release. It is thought the video will be recorded in Los Angeles.
