Essex band stopping to work on 'other musical projects'

Magistrates have split up, according to their Twitter account.

The band posted today (December 21) that they are finished.

Magistrates is over, thanks for everything, we will all be working on other musical projects, we’ll let you know,” they wrote.

The Essex based band came together in their current line-up in 2007 and featured Paul Usher, Mark Brandon, Thom Galbally and Andy Grant.

Earlier this year they took part in Samsung NME Radar Tour along with La Roux, The Chapman Family and Heartbreak.

The band have currently given no reason behind their split.
