The shows on Apple Music's radio service will alternate each Friday from October 2
Eric Prydz and Major Lazer‘s Diplo are the latest acts to be revealed as hosts on Apple Music’s radio service, Beats 1.
Diplo’s show will be called Lazer Sound and will debut on Friday October 2nd at 10pm GMT. Speaking about the show to Zane Lowe yesterday (September 18), Diplo said, “If you’ve heard any of our live sets, you can expect everything under the sun.”
Eric Prydz’s show, meanwhile, debuts the following week, on October 9, at the same time. The shows will alternate each week.
Prydz commented his show would contain “exclusive material, exclusive music from myself and from my peers. It’s going to be about music, new talent. I’m just going to have fun with it.”

Haim were revealed as Beats 1 hosts at the end of last month, when the band appeared on Pharrell’s OTHERtone show, where they also revealed that they are currently working on a new album.
The Californian sisters hinted that they might call their radio slot ‘Haim Time’ as they join the likes of St Vincent, Elton John, Josh Homme and Disclosure, who have all been made Beats 1 radio hosts.
In January, the band confirmed rumours of a second album by tweeting a photo of producer Ariel Rechtshaid hard at work in front of a computer with the accompanying message “Uh ohz”.
