Manic Street Preachers to play on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’

Plus band releasing new single and digital EP

Manic Street Preachers are booked to perform on Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday (December 5).

The band sent a message from their official Twitter.com page, Twitter.com/manicspostcards about the appearance, and a BBC spokesperson confirmed they would be playing.

“Unbelievable – we have got Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday”, they wrote. “Mass communication indeed. What to wear?”

The show airs at 7:30pm (GMT) on BBC1.

The band are set to release a new single, ‘Some Kind Of Nothingness’, which features guest vocals from Echo And The Bunnymen‘s Ian McCulloch, on Monday.

They’re also releasing a live digital EP on Sunday featuring the single plus versions of ‘Masses Against The Classes’, ‘Sleepflower’ and ‘Yes’.
