Manic Street Preachers to play gig six songs long

Trio join line-up for Heavenly Records bash

Manic Street Preachers are to play a one-off gig which will be just six songs long.

The band will play “only the six songs” they recorded for Heavenly Records on September 12 at the Royal Festival Hall in central London.

The band were signed to label initially, recording the six songs they will play live, before moving to Sony Records on a long-term deal.

The gig, which also features Doves and Cherry Ghost, is part of a festival of gigs been staged by Heavenly Records to celebrate the label’s 18th birthday.
