Unprotected Sex opens next month and Everything Must Go to tour next year...
JAMES DEAN BRADFIELD has written specially commissioned music for Patrick Jones latest play Unprotected Sex, which opens at the Cardiff Sherman Theatre on October 16 and runs until November 6 (excluding Sundays).
His first play Everything Must Go at the same venue was a sell-out and garnered international media attention.
Unprotected Sex follows the release of ‘Commemoration & Amnesia’ – his poetry album also with some music written by James Dean Bradfield – and live appearances with his band The Big Noise Recorders.
Patrick also plans to take Everything Must Go for a national next year.
The new play “sets out to investigate modernity and masculinity, as three people set out on a voyage of self discovery as The Millennium dawns” and stars Richard Harrington of House of America and Coronation Street fame.
Tickets are available from The Sherman Theatre Box Office on 01222 64690.
Meanwhile the Manic Street Preachers North American dates are set to resume tomorrow in Vancouver, British Colombia, following the cancellation of a a New York and Boston show last week after James was unable to perform because of laryngitis. The Detroit and Chicago shows went on as normal.
