MANSUN KIX OFF NEW ALBUM

Mad March album session for Brat show faves Mansun...

MANSUN intend to start recording their new studio album in spring, only seven months after the release of ‘LITTLE KIX’.

Speaking to NME.COM, mainman Paul Draper said the band are keen to get into the studio sooner rather than later. He said: “I think in about March or April we’re going to start recording our new album, which’ll be good because we did our second album like that, straight after the first one. We just want to dive on that and get it out quick – everyone’s up for just motoring on with this one and getting all the stuff out.”

Mansun will release e a new single, ‘Fool’, on January 29 via Parlophone. It is backed by four new tracks, ‘I’ve Seen The Top Of The Mountain’, ‘Promises’, ‘Fade In Time’ and ‘Black Infinite Space’ across the formats. Draper said the material was recorded during the sessions for last album ‘Little Kix’. He said: “We’ve got loads of stuff backed up that we’ve got to get out or noone will ever hear it.”

As previously announced, the band are also confirmed to perform at the NME Carling Awards Show at the London Astoria on February 1. They will warm-up for the shows with two dates at the Liverpool University (January 30) and Northampton Roadmenders (31).
