Drummer Ginger Fish clearly needs to think before acting so impulsively in future...
MARILYN MANSON drummer GINGER FISH fractured his collarbone when an onstage stunt went wrong at the close of the band’s show in NEW YORK on Saturday (November 25).
Almost a month into the Stateside leg of their ‘Guns, God and Government’ World Tour, Ginger fractured the bone after falling awkwardly while jumping over the drum set at the end of a second sold out night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in the city.
However, the injury is does not seem set to disrupt any of the tour. A posting on Manson’s website [url=]www.marilynmanson.net
insists all dates, including tomorrow night’s (November 28) in Detroit State Theatre, will go ahead as planned. Manson hits the UK for three shows on January 21. He will play Birmingham’s NEC Arena, Manchester Evening News Arena (January 22) and London Arena (January 24).
Meanwhile, the Catholic League of America are the latest religious group to call for a boycott of Manson’s new album ‘Holy Wood’ (In The Shadow Of The Valley of Death)’ – which debuted in the US Billboard 200 this week at, rather aptly, Number 13. According to the New York Post, League President William Donohue said, “It is Christianity that Manson hates, and it is Catholicism that he hates most of all… This guy is at war with Christ.”
Manson responded by saying: “I can’t possibly be at war with Christ, because your religion killed him and what he stood for. But if you want to be at war with me…bring it on.”
