MC Hammer to launch his own version of Google

WireDoo will offer 'deep' online searches

Nineties rapper MC Hammer is set to launch his own internet search engine.

The engine is called WireDoo and MC Hammer – real name Stanley Burrell – has spent the past two years developing the project with his team.

Burrell made the announcement at the San Francisco Web 2.0 summit yesterday (October 19). The project is still being developed and in the pre-beta stages. He added that WireDoo will be better than market leader Google because it will offer a ‘deep search’ ability, reports CNN.

“It’s about relationships beyond just the keywords,” said Burrell, explaining that the search engine would also bring up information on related topics as well as direct results. ‘Search once and see what’s related’, is the WireDoo tagline.

WireDoo is currently looking for people to sign up and try out the beta form of the project. For more information visit wiredoo.com
