The metal veterans are undertaking an unplugged tour of the US, touting their "satanic flamenco"...
MEGADETH are to undertake an unusual acoustic tour of the US to promote the release of their new album.
According to US website wallofsound, the group will perform a 12-city acoustic tour to coincide with the release of their new album, ‘World Needs A Hero’, on May 14.
Speaking about the tour, singer Dave Mustaine said that many people may be “dumbfounded” to hear Megadeth playing acoustic. He said: “It’s like satanic flamenco – happy satanic flamenco. Then, after we do a 40-minute set, we’ll mingle with the crowd, sign autographs, all that stuff. It’s really hard to play acoustic. Acoustic is harder to play than electric, really. You can hide behind distortion when you’re playing electric.”
Megadeth will play: Phoenix Mason Jar (April 28)
San Diego Brick By Brick (29)
Sacramento Boardwalk (30)
Denver House Of Rock (May 1)
San Antonio White Rabbit (3)
