The metal titans recently announced new album 'Hardwired... To Self-Destruct'

Metallica have played their new single ‘Hardwired’ live for the first time.

The band announced the release of their first album in eight years last week (August 18), the double album ‘Hardwired… To Self-Destruct’.

The record will feature nearly 80 minutes of music and is set for release on November 18.

New single ‘Hardwired’ was slotted into the group’s set at Minneapolis’ US Bank Stadium on Saturday night (August 20). It was the first rock concert to be held at the venue.

“Hardwired for you, baby. The first time live. I love it,” announced frontman James Hetfield after the song had come to an end.
