'Time To Pretend' sees duo claim second honour at London ceremony
MGMT have won their second award at the Shockwaves NME Awards tonight (February 25).
Having picked up Best New Band earlier in the evening, the Brooklyn duo have now won Best Track at the ceremony in the O2 Academy Brixton for the single ‘Time To Pretend’.
The pair were given their second honour by guest presenters Dizzee Rascal and Little Boots.
Frontman Andrew VanWyngarden said: “Wow, thanks very much. Didn’t we win this last year? This set looks familiar, it has a strange feeling, an electric feeling… We love England.”
