Michael Jackson ‘murdered for money’, claims sister LaToya ahead of his one-year death anniversary

'It was not an accident,' she says

Michael Jackson‘s sister LaToya has said she believes the self-styled king of pop was murdered because of how much he was worth.

Speaking in an interview with GMTV about the singer’s death, the anniversary of which is tomorrow (June 25), LaToya said “he was murdered for his catalogue and they knew that”. She added that she now wants “the truth” to come out about his death, reports BBC News.

“Personally I think it is a slap in the face, not just to Michael but to the entire family,” she explained. “It’s totally unfair, it’s wrong and it was not an accident.”

She added that she “never had a doubt” that he was murdered.

Jackson‘s physician Dr Conrad Murray is currently awaiting trial after pleading not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter over his death.
