Singer makes more than the combined earnings of Elvis Presley, John Lennon and Jimi Hendrix

Michael Jackson has been named the top-earning dead celebrity of 2010, beating the combined earnings of Elvis Presley, John Lennon and Jimi Hendrix.

According to Forbes.com, the late singer earned £173.5million, beating Elvis Presley who came second on £38million.

Last year, Jackson came third on the list with £34.7million, this year he earned more than the rest of the top 13 combined.

Other musicians who featured on the list include John Lennon who was fifth, making £10.7million, composer Richard Rodgers who was tenth on £4.4million and Jimi Hendrix who came joint 11th on £3.8million.
